Ion Purifiers

We need clean air in our homes where there are all kinds of particles that we cannot see. Many of these particles act as irritants and are seen to be a major contributor to the increasing number of people suffering from allergies. Manufacturers of clean air systems argue that much of this could be avoided simply by purifying the air in our homes and our workplace environments. Manufacturers make conflicting claims about their products with some of them claiming that ion air purifiers are superior to the mechanical systems.

An ion is a small particle of electricity which can be either positively or negatively charged. Reviews for pure air ion air purifiers tend to be a bit polarized with some reviewers being really positive about these systems and others questioning whether they actually work. There is also some controversy about using manufactured air and calling it pure, however numbers of people do find that these purifiers work for them. Negative ion air purifiers work by projecting pure negative-ion particles into the air. The idea is that these then push the impurities down, drawing them away from you and the air that you breathe. Most of these purifiers use different kinds of filters there are also fresh water ion purifiers which humidify the air.

Regular ion air purifier’s use filters to draw out the pollutants and filter through pure air. If these filters are not changed on a regular basis then they become clogged and may be harmful. Manufacturers claim that when you have a pure ion advanced air purifier installed the difference in the air quality will be such that you will see a noticeable difference in increased energy and well being. With a silver ion purifier, particles of silver are added to the water in the system to destroy the bacteria that is in the air.

There are, on the market ionic tower cleaner air ion purifiers do not use filters. Rather they work by using negative ions to trap and eliminate pollutants and to release an amount of ozone to deal with household odors. One problem that can occur with ion air purifiers can especially affect people with allergies - while ionic purifiers push the pollutants down so that the dirt and dust is no longer floating for you to breathe, any disturbance can get them floating upwards again. Ion water purifiers do not use filters to trap particles which means they remain in the air, albeit at a lower level.
