Sharper Image
Environmentalists tell us that with every day that passes the pollution in our environment increases. Much of the health problems experienced in the modern world are in some way arguably linked to toxins in the air. You might think that this only applies to outdoors, and that the air in your home is clean - and if you remain inside you won’t be breathing polluted air. However, the environmental protection agency maintains that this is not the case and the home is actually a very dirty environment with its dust, mites and pet dander. Experts advise that people try to keep their homes as clean as possible and recommend that in some cases an air purifier may improve the air quality. There is, however, a lot of debate among experts as to how effective some of these air purifiers actually are.
There are many different air purifiers on the market Oreck, Honeywell and Austin Air air purifiers to name but a few. There is also the Sharper Image air purifier and while some people say that this is very effective, the company has faced plenty of controversy from the consumer industry. Sharper Image air purifiers are ionic cleaners which use ions to attract the particles that are in the air – some experts argue that this is not effective because any disturbance in the room can redistribute the particles.
